Coach Delussey joined Sacred Heart Crew for the 2006 season. Prior to joining Sacred Heart, Josselyn had 13 years of rowing and 6 years of coaching experience. Most recently, she had been the the Varsity Coach at the Agnes Irwin School. Prior to that, she coached the Freshman/Novice Men at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Coach also attended McGill University and rowed in the lightweight women's double. She also was the coxswain for the men's heavyweight boat while at the University. Coach continues to be active on the river rowing out of PGRC. Other interests include running, road biking, and swimming. To contact Coach Delussey, click HERE .

 

                                                Betsy Davis, Assistant Coach

                                                Betsy%20Pic.jpgBetsy joined the coaching staff in 2007. Coach Davis is a recent graduate of Washington College with a BA in History. She rowed all four years on the women's varsity team. In her senior year, she received the Women's Team spirit Award. Her fondest rowing memory, was winning the prestigious Knecht Cup Regatta in both her sophomore and junior years. Coach Davis is originally from Pitman, NJ, where she attended Pitman high School. She played basketball, track and field, and cross country in high school. Her current interests include reading, skiing and rowing. You can contact Coach Davis HERE.

Coach Patrick Rufo is in his second year as an assistant coach for Sacred Heart. He is originally from Boston, MA. A 1999 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Patrick rowed for four years as a lightweight and a heavyweight rower. In the summer of 1998, Patrick began sculling, and has sculled ever since. His rowing achievements include:

29th Place at the 2000 US Olympic Trials in the Men’s Single Sculls

4th Place in the 2001 Club Single at the Head of the Charles

1st Place in the 2003 Club Four at the Head of the Charles

3rd Place in the 2005 Champ Double at the Head of the Charles

Patrick moved to Pennsylvania in 2006 to train full time at Penn Athletic Boat Club. His wife Jenna is a former graduate of Sacred Heart, and her mother Barbara Mancini was a former teacher.

Patrick is a certified personal trainer (CPT) and strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He graduated from the National Personal Training Institute in April of 2007. Patrick is currently employed at Right Now Fitness, an upscale personal training studio in Bala Cynwyd.
